IT'S TIME TO INVEST IN YOUR MUSIC.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, thank you for taking the time to check out and consider working in the space I've devoted my life to curating.

My name is Victor, and New Alchemy Audio is not only my home studio, but also my brand and my reputation.

I am very passionate about what I do, so much so that my own blood and tears (with a little help from Google and a friend of mine) went into building a workspace that reflects the intimacy and efficiency that appeals to both my inner artist and engineer.

I AM LOCATED IN OTTAWA. I chose to base my business out of here due to its low-key, workable nature. Don't hesitate to ask if you require accommodation.

My goal is to share the drive I have to create and be a crucial part of (simply put) amazing music with as many like-minded artists as I can possibly find.

SERVICES

recording & engineering

Every voice is different and I am always ready to sit down with any vocalist of any range or style to get something sounding proper.

I've also sat down with many an engineer and vocal coach, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get the best performance out of anybody.

production & composition

Production/songwriting is my absolute passion, and I (and many, if not all of my past clients) would argue that production is my forte.

Are you a rapper tired of looking at "TYPE-BEATS" on YouTube and/or Beat Stars? I gotchu.

Are you an artist who is already set on an instrumental and you're just looking to produce a melody or hook? Let's get to work.

Even if you're in need of a mix or just simply recording, there will likely be production involved and it is my utmost goal to ensure that my hand in such will leave a lasting impression on your listeners, as well as your creative process as an artist.

mixing & mastering

Although I am self-taught, I can safely say that I've put in my 10,000 hours and that my mixes are the reason my artists return to me time and time again.

I like to view mixing as an art form and use my knowledge of music theory to create a vibe that is both suitable for the track, as well as sonically rigid.

ABOUT US

ABOUT  ME

My life changed when I was 10 years-old. I decided that just pretending I played guitar was no longer cool enough - I had finally persuaded my mother to take me to lessons at my local music store.

Within a year, I had a live performance under my belt. I was obsessed. I sacrificed any potential of a middle school social life and devoted it to learning every technique, every chord, and every scale in the book.

As I grew older and began to experiment with my own creativity, I became studious of the songwriting craft - which chords strummed nicely alongside others, and how the theory aspect applied to the writing process.

Once I hit high school, I was performing my own tunes monthly. I began skipping class to perform out of town and attend studio time in other cities.

A year into university, I dropped out to accommodate a touring schedule. I wanted to be around music as much as I possibly could be. I had my goals set and a career plan mapped out with the hope of an eventual family and financial stability.

Entering adulthood, I lost the passion and fire that founded my musical career. I realized that I felt most at home in the studio, and that I had grown tired of life on the road.

I moved back to my hometown with the initial intention of parting ways with music, but fuelled by the support of my family and colligues at home, I decided to work from the ground up to create the experience I shared in studios across the continent.

I linked up with an old friend of mine and we recorded a few tracks on my old MacBook. The first few moments of the creative process were enough to reignite my creative drive.

I had fed my starving obsession to learn - I was on every blog, watching every tutorial, and devoting all my time to learning the ins and outs of creating an industry standard and radio-ready recording - this time from the numerical standpoint.

Fast forward a year (and thousands of dollars) later - I decided to take it upon myself to create the studio and workspace I wish I always had. I decided to take a risk and build a career solely off my own dreams and ambitions with the intent of using them to start and uphold the careers of others.

And now here we are! Now that you know more about me, feel free to drop me a line below and we can start talking music!
